"Hoje finalmente estamos lançando o Krita 4.2.9! Foi um dos lançamentos mais complicados que já tentamos. Quando atualizamos a versão do Python incorporada ao Krita, os scripts foram interrompidos no Windows. Quando a Apple atualizou seu protocolo de reconhecimento de firmas, o edifício quebrou no macOS. E então atualizamos para uma versão mais recente de algumas das bibliotecas em que construímos o Krita, e isso quebrou todos os tipos de coisas. E então precisávamos descobrir uma nova maneira de empacotar o Krita para a Windows Store, que infelizmente quebrou nossos bons ícones ..."

Instalação
Para Ubuntu você pode utilizar a PPA oficial do Krita.
Adsione a PPA.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kritalime/ppa
Atualize a lista de pacotes.
sudo apt-get update
Instale o Krita.
sudo apt install krita
Para Debian híbrido está disponivel no repositório Unstable.
Instale com o comando, só para Debian unstable e híbrido.
sudo apt install -t unstable krita
Caso prefira não instalar pode usar em appimage.
Faça o download com o comando.
wget http://mirrors.mit.edu/kde/stable/krita/4.2.9/krita-4.2.9-x86_64.appimage
Torne o pacote executável.
chmod +X krita-4.2.9-x86_64.appimage
Execute o Krita.
./krita-4.2.9-x86_64.appimage
