"A comunidade KDE tem o orgulho de anunciar o KDE Frameworks 5.0. Frameworks 5 é a próxima geração de bibliotecas KDE, modularizada e otimizada para fácil integração em aplicativos Qt. Os Frameworks oferecem uma ampla variedade de funcionalidades comumente necessárias em bibliotecas maduras, revisadas por pares e bem testadas com termos de licenciamento amigáveis. Existem mais de 50 estruturas diferentes como parte desta versão, fornecendo soluções, incluindo integração de hardware, suporte a formatos de arquivo, widgets adicionais, funções de plotagem, verificação ortográfica e muito mais. Muitos dos Frameworks são de plataforma cruzada e têm dependências mínimas ou nenhuma dependência extra, tornando-os fáceis de construir e adicionar a qualquer aplicativo Qt."

O KDE anuncia hoje o lançamento do KDE Frameworks 5.76.0.

Os KDE Frameworks são 70 bibliotecas complementares ao Qt que fornecem uma ampla variedade de funcionalidades comumente necessárias em bibliotecas maduras, revisadas por pares e bem testadas com termos de licenciamento amigáveis.
